Carroll talks about Governor Ige's environmental policies, particularly in the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), the Department of Agriculture (DOA), and the Department of Health (DOH), and notes the well-being of our natural resources is being neglected.
Governor Ige has reappointed Suzanne Case as Chairwoman of the DLNR. Carroll is concerned about how she diverts money into certain questionable projects and explains issues. DLNR also had many issues with ex-Department of Conservation and Resourcement Chief Robert Farrell in 2018 that may be continuing into 2019.
The DOH enforces the Clean Water Act and safe drinking water regulations. Carroll talks about the multiple discharges of wastewater at the Big Island Dairy. He is concerned about the lack of information regarding the closing of the dairy.
Carroll also discusses a number of other environmental issues in the news such as corruption, misuse of public property, and crumbling infrastructure.
