Carroll and callers discuss the makeup of a person's ancestry from all parts of the globe, and what that means. We are all Americans. Why do some still want to strip that title from a person, and what it means, born here or not?
The second hour Carroll addresses the "bend the knee" controversy instigated by President Trump. It is NOT about the flag and the National Anthem as Trump wants you to believe. Instead of telling us how to react, listen.
Carroll looks beyond corruption in government, and asks how dp politicians get the corruption to work for themselves? It's the thirty percent. Just note Trump's base, or the number of voters in Hawaii. Our politicians keep the thirty percent happy, and that's all they need to do.
To illustrate, Carroll take another look at the many problems on the Waianae Coast, their lack of good representation, and the still missing bypass road. Just another traffic jam. And, what about the sand on the beaches, the illegally dumped trash, the bridge to nowhere, and all the other problems? Nothing changes. Seems like politicians
do not want to waste their energy on those who do not vote.
Carroll also talks about fish ponds near Sand Island that were covered up by landfill and used as a dump. A food source was replaced by garbage and once again a culture destroyed without a thought.
Wake up little bird!
