The first hour Carroll talks with Dr. William Harris about the advantages of  a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle and its effect on Type II diabetes.  Visit vsh.org for more information.  The Vegetarian Society of Hawaii meets monthly at the Ala Wai Golf Course clubhouse.  Next meeting is  May 10 at 7:00 p.m.  Call 944-8344 for more info.

The second hour Carroll and Dr. Harris talk about our crumbling infrastructure and the rail "gravy train".    Visit honolulutraffic.com for more information.

Carroll also talks about  city, state and federal standards and ethics.   Several years ago Carroll filed complaints  about Todd Apo regarding the landfill and the Ko Olina boat ramp, but the ruling was "no conflict of interest".  Two years ago someone filed another complaint about the same thing and Apo was fined.  See original Ethics Opinion regarding our complaint.  We wonder, is the ethics commission ethical?  Todd Apo now wants to be on the new rail commission.

What about problems with air traffic controllers falling asleep?  One controller is in the tower while multiple TSA agents  stand around checkpoints looking at our toothpaste, patting us down and just watching us pass by.   Where and what is the point of safety?
