    February 24, 2019,   Honolulu, Hawaii.

Carroll is now broadcasting on the Internet at www.talk808.com.   Listen live on Sunday mornings, 9-11 a.m.
We want to hear from you.   Call 808-782-6627 to participate.

Carroll talks about the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), the Board of Land  and Natural Resources (BLNR), and Suzanne Case, Chairman of the Board.  He notes how hard it is to get answers from the BLNR while Governor Ige seems to be turning a blind eye to their doings.   The response from Dan Dennison, DLNR Communications Manager, to his latest list of questions was to "look at the Internet".

Carroll tells us, under Suzanne Case, there is an effort to privatize the DLNR so she can install her own agenda, and that agenda is not in the best interest of the public.

The latest issue is fees for leasing land at the state harbors, and the Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBAR) requesting the board  to amend GKM, Inc.'s lease to include fuel sales at Honokohau Harbor and pay a portion of its sales to the state.   DLNR's submittal suggests GKM, Inc. was selling fuel in violation of its lease.   Ms. Case withdrew the matter "J-1" from the agenda o the July 27, 2018, board meeting and it was not heard.    Carroll is asking why Ms. Case withdrew J-1, will she resubmit it, and who will be given permission to sell fuel at the harbor.
