Carroll talks about rail. Many years ago we voted for a 3 billion dollar project. Now its fast approaching 10 billion, and that's not counting for ancillary costs to businesses and road closures, as well as money diverted from other city projects that need funding to fully operate. For example, one of the big losers is trash pickup. Carroll
explains why a number of projects have gone wrong. Remember, Mayor Caldwell was Mufi Hannemann's right-hand man and he, too, has a major interest in keeping the project going. Now we are starting to see the real impact. More people will see a negative impact than will benefit from rail. There are still alternatives. Write or call your representatives or city council person and let them know this particular rail project must be stopped.
Callers weigh in on the question of continuing or stopping the project.
