Carroll continues his discussion about the Waimanalo Gulch Landfill, revealing conflicting information from the city, state and Waste Management about the spill. For comparison purposes, we compiled a series of public statements made by Gary Gill (DOH), Douglas Chin and Tim Steinberger (City officials) and Joe Whelan (Waste Management) regarding the dumping of leachate (not storm water, as claimed) into the ocean. Statements were offered despite the fact that Gary Gill's own DOH state inspectors compiled the following report on 12/23/10:
The only conclusion we can draw is that they are providing the public with false and misleading information. Carroll further discusses the story's spin as revealed in the following documents: 1. Denial of Records requested by Carroll on 1/18/11 2. Notice of Violation issued in May, 2010 3. Landfill Permit dated 6/4/10 thru 2015 4. City press release attacking Carroll on 1/27/11
