VIDEO - CoolingTower Collapse in Campbell Industrial Park

On Saturday, May 16, 2009, a  120 ft. cooling tower, owned by Hawaii Cement Co. and located in Campbell Industrial Park, collapsed into tons of twisted steel and rubble.  The following video shows the tower collapsing, and the pile of metal after the collapse.    Also, view our pictures here

AG Transport, a California based company, working with San Construction, LLC, a local company located at 99-1000a Halawa Vally St, Aiea, HI, was preparing the tower for demolition when it prematurely collapsed, trapping and killing one worker. A second worker escaped while the tower was collapsing.   Approximately 45 Honolulu firefighters, along with demolition company workers, spent over seven hours pulling the 40-ft high pile of tangled steel and debris apart to find the missing man.
