Carroll's guest today is Michael Golojuch, candidate for the State of Hawaii House of Representatives, District 42 (Kapolei, Makakilo). He has over thirty years of experience working with various government agencies for his community. In fact, Michael states he is the only candidate that actually grew up in the community he wants to serve. Of
course, he is well known for his
work with the GLBT community and civil rights, but he is much more than that. His biggest concern now is roads and infrastructure, but he wants to apply his leadership and abilities to so many of the other issues that concern his community including a living wage, equal work, and the homeless. Golojuch tells us why he is running for office by highlighting the many differences in beliefs and work ethics he has with Sharon Har, the current representative for the district.
He also talks about many of the other issues important to Hawaii including the Jones Act, GMO's, solar, and managing resources. He says he is willing and able to work with people with views that are different than his own. Michael Golojuch tells us it is important that he be accessible to the people and wants you to know he will always be available. If you see him, stop, talk and ask questions.
Golojuch says, "The four tenets of my campaign are Equality, Education, Environment and Economy." To learn more, visit his campaign website at: http://votegolojuch.blogspot.com or call 808-358-4417.
