Carroll talks about the "wrong button" being pushed and its effect on the state, the nation, and the world.   "This is not a drill" shocked us all.    The incoming ballistic missile message, received on thousands of cell phones in Hawaii the morning of January 13, 2018,  was a shot heard around the world.   The fact the warning was not canceled for 38 minutes made it even worse.

Many wonder why Trump did not say anything, but what was there to say when the governor and a general stood there saying nothing.    Tulsi Gabbard tattempted to take the limelight and has a lot to say about "our leaders" failing us,  but, as a leader of Hawaii, what has she done?   This is yet another example of failed implementation and management of projects in Hawaii.  And, this is not the first time that  "wrong buttons" were pushed in Hawaii.   Over the past few years raw sewage was released and storm drains have overflowed due to human error.  A caller tells us, many years ago, during a big storm on the Big Island, a false air raid siren was triggered in error.   When will we learn?   Apparently, we don't learn anything from our past mistakes.

Why is it the people we put in as our leaders by vote, or are appointed by those we vote for,  focus their attention and resources on chasing the homeless and building the rail instead of taking care of business and doing things right?    Carroll has talked about so many of the failures in his past shows.

The other big story of the week is Trump's s@#$ hole remark.   Carroll talks about the big s-hole we dug in Kailua to store human excrement,  or as Trump calls it, a s@#$ hole, and then comments on the rest of the story.

Carroll also talks about the recent story on the news regarding the Department of Land and Natural Resources'  Law Enforcement Division (DLNR) citing businesses on Maui for setting up cabanas and chairs on the beach that were not being used.   But, there is not a law against setting up cabanas and chairs, and DLNR had to retract their  "cease and desist" order.  Why didn't DLNR know the law before they issued the order?
