NOROVIRUS ATTACKS ANOTHER CRUISE

Norwegian Cruise Line's operations here in Hawaii experienced another bout of norovirus aboard one of its cruise ships. Approximately 85 passengers and employees fell ill in the most recent outbreak. Sources advised us that the trip started in Honolulu on the January 17, 2009, and traveled to the other main Hawaiian Islands of Maui, Hawaii and Kauai.
The Hawaii State Department of Health and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration conducted an investigation and took stool samples from some of the patients. However,, they failed to notify the general public of the outbreak, and only admitted the recent incident occurred after Carroll Cox notified the local media.
