UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE DUMPED IN NANAKULI

On June 28, 2010, Pacific Environmental Corporation removed two metal 55 gallon drums containing an unknown chemical from a ravine alongside Lualualei Military Road in Nanakuli, Oahu, Hawaii.  PENCO was called by  Hawaii State Department of Health's Hazardous Emergency Environmental Response Personnel who were on site in response to a call from Mr. Carroll Cox reporting that he discovered two barrels of unknown chemicals. PENCO retreived the barrels, secured them, and transported them to their base yard where the contents will be tested, identified, and properly disposed.

If you find  barrels or containers with fluids in them, don't disturb the container.  Don't open them, sniff the content, touch, or breath the material, and don't do anything to cause the material to spill from the container.  Call the Department of Health or notify the police deparment of your findings.  Also, if you have any information on this or other illegal dumping, call us at 808-782-6627, or email carroll@carrollcox.com
