June 28, 2010 Honolulu Ethics Commission
715 South King St. suite 211
Honolulu,
HI 96813
TO WHOM IT
MAY CONCERN:
More specifically, I am
concerned that Mr. Jamila has received grant money from the City and
County of Honolulu's Leeward Coast Community Benefits Program for his
nonprofit organization, "The Waimanalo Construction Coalition," and that
Mr. Jamila failed to disclose this fact on his personal information
form he submitted for reappointment to the Planning Commission. In addition, I would like to
include in this complaint the unethical behavior of Ms. Patty Teruya in
another matter, where she serves as a board member of the nonprofit
organization "Friends of Kapolei Hale," which received a grant from
Honolulu's Leeward Coast Community Benefits Program.
June 28, 2010 Dear Chair
Apo and Councilmembers:
I respectfully seek your
assistance in opposing Mayor Hannemann's proposed reappointment of Mr.
Andrew Jamila to the City and County of Honolulu's Planning Commission. I make this request based on the following
information: More specifically, I am concerned that Mr.
Jamila has received grant money from the City and County of Honolulu's
Leeward Coast Community Benefits Program for his nonprofit organization,
"The Waimanalo Construction Coalition," and that Mr. Jamila failed to
disclose this fact on the personal information form he submitted for
reappointment to the Planning Commission.
I believe that the acceptance of this grant taints Mr. Jamila's ability to render unbiased decisions on matters heard by the City Planning Commission. Please use the following link to access related documents and for additional information pertaining to this matter: http://carrollcox.com/Jamila.htm Thank you for your kind consideration in this matter. Sincerely,
Carroll E.
