Green Earth Media would like to invite you to join us and director Josh Tickell at the Oahu premiere of his film FUEL as we introduce the possibilities of a fossil fuel free world to Hawaii. (Josh appeared on Jay Leno in March, 2009 to promote his film and was well received. The film includes select appearances by Julia Roberts, Woody Harrelson, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Richard Branson, Laurie David, Robert Kennedy, Jr., Senator Barbara Boxer and others. Hawaii, the most oil-dependent of the 50 states, a literal “crouton” in the Pacific Ocean, now relies on imported petroleum to fulfill about 90% of its primary energy needs so it is especially crucial to take quick action to implement use of alternative and renewable energy sources.
FUEL is an insightful portrait of America’s addiction to oil and an uplifting testament to the immediacy of new energy solutions. Arrive early (4:30-6:30 p.m.) to meet the Green and Sustainable Vendors. Bring your old phone books and glossy magazines as Hagadone Printing will be accepting these items to recycle at the event.
