GOVERNOR WITHDRAWS NOMINATION

March 18, 2015.  Today Hawaii State Governor David  Ige withdrew his nomination of Carleton Ching for Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, from consideration.  The governor's notice of withdrawal was delivered to the Senate by his Chief of Staff, Mike McCartney (see below).   The governor's action spared some of  the senators from  the spotlight under which  they were being carefully watched by citizens opposed to Ching's nomination.
